I'm a Brooklyn native that grew up in the Midwood section, spent a year living in Manhattan, then moved to Park Slope in 1977, and have been there ever since. My love of Coney Island is deep rooted. My father grew up in a bungalow where Trump Village now stands. I have always found stories about Coney Island Before World War II fascinating. As a family, spending Sunday afternoon double parked in front of Nathan's was not unusual. Being the daughter of a printer, I was provided with an endless supply of paper. I can't remember a time when I was never drawing or painting. After attending Midwood High School, I enrolled in to The School Of Visual Arts, where i studied art and photography. I eventually became a commercial transparency photo retoucher for 30 or so years. At age 52 I had my first show and two years later, my Wonder Wheel painting was selected by AARP for its 2008 calendar.  I work exclusively from photographs, painting thin layers of oil paint, slowly building to create a high gloss finish. I owe so much of this all to my wonderful husband Stan, who has been so supportive and encouraging.
